I L-O-V-E your vintage sewing machine! What a great treasure to have! I tried buying an old sewing table from an auction once, and was out bid by about $20. come to find out it had a Singer, similar to this, inside! Sorry I was out bid, but glad you have one. :o) Thanks for sharing. Thanksgiving blessings to you and yours.

Oh Lady Farmer...you took pictures of it ~ thank you dear friend for sharing.

The machine looks beautiful! The belt is in great shape and so is the wheel.

have you oiled it yet? How about cleaning the reservoir? I know, I know...I am bombarding you with a lot right now, but I am so excited to see your machine ;-)

I haven't been sewing much because of illness, but I am so looking forward to getting back to the treadle.

Thank you so much, dear friend, for sharing such a treasure.

blessings,

maria

It's been a long time since I've seen the machine outside the table! I think you should keep her out to look at. The colors are very autumnal. =)

The machine is beautiful. The one I still use today is a 1969 model. Is that considered vintage?

Beautiful machine. I got my Great Aunts and my daughter has it now.

Beautiful machine! My mom still sews on a power machine that belonged to her mother. Many years ago she had a "modern" cabinet built for it and so it has lost much of its character. But it has been put to use a bazillion times. (like for all of those Halloween costumes)

Lovely post!

Oh, the care and craftsmanship that went into making these older machines. They are truly works of art that will last forever if properly maintained. Think of all the family history that is right there in that old gem! What a treasure - thanks for letting us have a peek!!
