With African Flair!

Youngest Farmers' Daughter spent this last summer
working on a Ph.D. project in Cameroon, Africa!
She brought me back some lovely pieces of fabric and
I just had to share one with you!
This is our favorite ! It has chickens on it!
(I am a farmgirl afterall!)
~*~

I wanted to thank DD by making something with the fabric
so I found a pattern for a little bag that we both liked.
~*~

Here is how it turned out!

It was an easy, fun and quick little pattern
that I will sew again!
And, if anyone is interested, I may sew one up
for a little giveaway soon!

You can find the pattern here!

I love that fabric and what you have made with it :) I especially like how you lined up the birds to look like they are getting ready to take a big bite of some delicious fruit(button)
Thanks for the inspiration...i've been out of it for awhile and am excited to spend more time in my sewing room. :)

Dear Lady Farmer,

What a treat to have real African fabric! I love their use of vibrant colors; and the bag is just the thing for such hungry chicks, waiting to be filled! ;)

Love,

Marqueta

LOVE the fabric, and really like that little bag; great pattern, thank you so much for sharing it!

I'm passing it along to one of my daughters (the one NOT working on HER PhD!) as she loves to make bags from unusual fabrics. This bag is really nice!

What exquisite items you have filled your etsy shoppe with! I love the "roses" apron; it is so lovely.

The bag you made from the fabric your daughter brought from Africa is very nice; great style!

You are very talented....
